PHYSICAL & HEALTH EDUCATION AND YOGA 

• Yoga is practiced everyday for 5 minutes during Morning Assembly. Different Asana and breathing techniques are taught to the students staring from Pre-Primary to Class-XII.   Mass PT is practiced every Monday for all classes.
  
  
• Yogasana and Pranayama are taught to the students from Class VI to XII during their regular games period. Physical feats as Dumbel & Lezium exercises are taught to the secondary students during their regular games period.
  
  
• Rules and regulations of different games as Basketball, Handball, Kabaddi, Kho-kho, Football, Hockey, Volleyball and Athletics are taught to the secondary students in theory classes. Then the students practice those games in their allotted Games period.
  
  
• Afternoon practice after school hour from 4pm to 6pm is done to prepare teams for Regional & National Sports Meet.
  
  
• Annual Sports Day is conducted every year in which maximum students participate. The entire school is divided into 8 groups Boys & Girls separately. Total 70 Nos. of events are conducted in the 3 days meet. Interhouse competitions are conducted in different games for boys & girls separately.
  
  
•  Primary students participate in the Mini Sports Meet (Cluster level) and get lot of prizes for our vidyalaya.
  
  

  Games  and  Sports   (2011-12)       

  KVS cluster meet Kho Kho (Boys) of Odisa Cluster in this Vidyalaya on 20th & 21th Aug 10. In which 18 KVS of Odisha Participated .Two Team A and B ware selected to participate in Regional Meet in this venue against the team of Jharkhand state  on 24th and 25th Aug 10. In This meet Odisha A became Champion and Jharkhand A became Runner up.They attended the 5 days coaching camp at KV NO 1 BBSR before proceeding to Bangalore.
